"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair."

- One of the laws of computers and programming revealed.

Where will you go today?

Han Solo: "You said you wanted to be around when I made a mistake, well, this could be it, sweetheart."

SatilliteDirect TV

Offers 3500+ channels for free. It appears legal, however it's the underpinnings that are more important.

It's legal because it uses free channels found on the internet. The internet is full of free live channels that stations use to broadcast over the internet as well as over the air.

You can find listings at places like http://wwitv.com

The catch is SatilliteDirect just packages them into a software package. I didn't buy it, because I already can view lots of stations via the internet and podcasts via tools like Miro.

Also consider that most channels may be in a language you don't understand. No “HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime”, as those are premium channels. It's limited.

Many people are saying they are getting blank channels. Perhaps the makers have not updated their “channels”, or rather the links they point to. So one would need to verify they are actually in business and working before buying.

Still, why buy when there is so much available for free?

This article went more into detail about the various parts of it, and why it's not worth buying.
